Braunsia is a genus of succulent plant in the family Aizoaceae, indigenous to South Africa.

Braunsia vanrensburgii, commonly known as Limestone Hedgehogfig in English or Kalkrankvygie in Afrikaans and synonymously known as Echinus vanrensburgii, is a range-restricted South African endemic species from the Western Cape Province known from De Hoop Nature Reserve where it occurs in limestone ridges in fynbos. It blooms late winter to early spring and forms a low, creeping succulent shrub with stems that lie along the ground and sometimes root at the nodes. The flowers range from light pink to purple.
